September saw us welcome investors, ecosystem champions and the 12 businesses selected to be part of our inaugural PraeSeed programme to NatWest’s Spinningfields HQ in Manchester.
The occasion was our first-ever PraeSeed by Praetura showcase, which saw those same 12 businesses pitching their companies to a packed crowd eager to learn more.
The quality of pitches was excellent and the format was also a great success, with our PraeSeed lead and investment manager Jessica Jackson taking care of hosting duties on the day.
Also in attendance were our partners at the British Business Bank, who have made Praeseed possible thanks to funding from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II.
As well as being an opportunity to network and hear from some great businesses, the showcase was also a reminder of the impressive calibre of pre-seed businesses in the region.
A huge thank you to everyone who made it to our first-ever showcase. The businesses have since gone to our Investment Committee but only eight of those are set to receive funding.
